About Dr. Fleming: Originally from Southern California, Dr. Fleming graduated from California State University in Los Angeles. She received her medical degree from University of California, Irvine College of Medicine. She then went on to complete her residency training in Internal Medicine at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital. Dr. Fleming joined Southlake Clinic in 2008. She is board-certified in Internal Medicine.
Prior to joining Southlake Clinic, Dr. Fleming worked as a hospitalist at Valley Medical Center for two years. On top of her busy schedule, Dr. Fleming finds time to volunteer at her kids’ school as well as sponsor a child in Zimbabwe.
Patient Care Philosophy: Her philosophy of care is to make the needs of her patients come first and foremost. It is her goal to establish strong relationships with her patients and to be someone they feel comfortable talking to. She wants her patients to feel that she listens to their needs and will be their advocate.
Personal Interests: Dr. Fleming and her husband, David, have two young children. She is a self-proclaimed soccer mom who also enjoys a good science fiction novel when she finds the time. In her free time, she enjoys singing, crochet, baking and doing crafts with her kids. They can also be found on any given weekend around the local children museums or enjoying the ever-rainy puddle-jumping weather the Northwest is known for.
