About Dr. Yen: Dr. Yen was raised in Southern California. He received his undergraduate from the University of California, Berkeley. He received his medical degree from New York University. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at UCLA and fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of Buffalo. He has additional specialty training in Hepatology & Liver Transplantation as well as Advanced Therapeutic & Interventional Endoscopy, and graduated with a Master's Public Health degree.
Dr. Yen joined Southlake Clinic in 2014 after serving many years as faculty at the University of Colorado, Denver School of Medicine, where he specialized in advanced endoscopy and worked on outcomes research. Some of his previous research focused on colon polyp detection, GI cancer diagnosis and survival, liver transplant survival, and advanced endoscopy techniques. Currently, he's a clinical assistant professor at the University of Washington School of Medicine. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.
Personal Interests: In his spare time, Dr. Yen enjoys reading, music, movies, cooking, and spending time with his family.
