He also specializes in venous disease disorders and performs venous ablation therapy and foam sclerotherapy.
About Dr. Subherwal: Dr. Subherwal earned his medical degree from the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine in Irvine, and subsequently completed his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the UC Irvine Paul Merage School of Business. He then completed his residency in internal medicine at the Barnes-Jewish Hospital/Washington University in St. Louis, MO, and was a clinical research scholar within the Cardiovascular Division at Washington University in St. Louis, MO. Dr. Subherwal completed fellowships in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiovascular disease at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, NC. He spent an additional two years in an advanced clinical research fellowship at the Duke Clinical Research Institute in Durham, NC participating in outcomes and clinical trial research.
Dr. Subherwal joins us from Raleigh, NC, where he was the Medical Director for Research for the WakeMed Physician Practices-Raleigh Cardiology and was the principal investigator and participated in a number of medicine and device trials. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases and Interventional Cardiology. He is a member of the American College of Cardiology, Society for Cardiac Intervention and Angiography, and the American Venous Forum.
Patient Care Philosophy: Dr. Subherwal believes in bringing the highest quality of care and the latest cutting edge technologies for the treatment of his patients. His philosophy is to work with patients to form a partnership in their long-term care and improve quality of life.
Personal Interests: Dr. Subherwal returns home to the West Coast with his wife who is a dentist and a native of the Seattle area. They spend their free time exploring local restaurants, traveling, exploring museums and parks with their two beautiful daughters.
